Poppy Emelia Maust was born on June 25, 2009 at 9:57pm, weighing 6lb 6oz and measuring 19 1/2 inches. Tomorrow she will be a week old. Can you believe we’re only now making an announcement post on our site? Well, you’ll remember what it was like having your first newborn in the house! She is a real treasure and we’ll be sure to share photos, videos and news of our little girl as often as she lets us play around on the Internet.

Also, Emily’s promised to do some posts about the labor and delivery, so you’ll want to stay tuned for those. I’ve added three new photo albums in the photo gallery totaling 100 new pictures. We have some from yesterday, too, which gives us photos of every day of her postpartum existence. We do want to show her off!
