- NEW VIDEO: Poppy and Henry Playing
When Emily emigrated, she had to leave some special things behind. Well, the goldfish wasn't exactly that special because the Hayes sisters can't actually remember it's name. Was it Sharky? Or maybe George? Sally says Sharky-George. Here's the low-down on the fish's death, details of which I've gleaned from Emily's wall on Facebook.

I'm sorry for your great loss. Sharky-George will be sadly missed. His
downfall was when he was demonted from the kitchen to the spare room.

Well an investigation in to the sudden death is underway and at
present. The latest report is as follows: The change in positioning of
the bowl to direct sunlight and the change in weather of late may have
been a significant factor in the death of Sharky or George. The
increase in sunlight caused an increase in tempature of the water and
photosynthesis which increased the amount of alage growth causing the
water to become unclean at an increased rate. In hindsight the negative
effect of this could have been counteracted and offset by an increase
in fish bowl cleanage. the death of said fish therefore may have been
prevented had it been kept in the shade however it is uncertain as to
whether this was the sole cause. It may have been the overwhelming
prospect of having to swim the long distance across the pond to you on
mum and dad's departure that caused anxiety and heart failure.
We're back in Wake Forest. We were supposed to be back here Sunday night, but the One who controls the planets allowed other plans to perspire (that's not the only thing that perspired either!). We left London Heathrow at noonish, after a little bit of drama concerning only being able to take one carry-on bag: we each had two bags. We were only allowed one and they were strict. We eventually got through: I crammed my computer bag into my rolly carry-on and Emily consolidated. You see: you were allowed to carry the same amount of stuff, but you could only have one bag. So, I carried my laptop, some books, and a sweater in my hands while there was my second bag crammed into my first bag. Wow. Whatever. That wasn't the least of our worries…
I would just like to say a public farewell to my new friend Sarah (it sounds like i'm de-friending her, but I'm not). It was her last day at the Tea Rooms today. She has decided that tea isn't good enough, she wants to get into the chicken sandwich market! No seriously. We will all miss you Sarah. Best Wishes in your new job at Chick-fil-a. Remember, drink more tea!!!!
