We really couldn’t have asked for nicer weather for our walk around the (free!) Botanic Garden over in Ft. Worth. There was no blazing, blinding Texan sun or sky full of clouds, only a pleasantly breezy autumnal afternoon. Truly a photographer’s dream!

Saturdays in most households have a tradition all their own. Ours have developed a pattern of donut consumption. We realized though that’s it’s far too easy to drive to buy donuty delights, so we’ve decided to start walking. Here’s our journey to the donut shop a half-mile down the road last Saturday.

Poppy and I participated in our local pregnant support services walk for life on Saturday called 4,000 Steps. This is the first time we’ve done anything like this but it turned out to be a wonderful and moving experience. And we got some exercise–well, Daddy did at least.
