Stings and Stumbling Blocks

Yesterday’s bike ride provided Poppy with one of her little life’s firsts: a bee sting.

But hearing us say that she got stung, she calls it her ‘stung’. She handled the pain extremely well though. What a strong little lady.

It’s a 14km roundtrip to the park where the stung stung, an otherwise tranquil journey through verdant country ending on the perimeter of the largest natural lake in France.

Our family suffered another sting today: my laptop seems to have kicked the bucket. This wouldn’t be so bad except Emily’s laptop quit two weeks ago after Poppy vomited on it. So, we’re currently laptopless. Is this punishment for attempting to blog everyday in July? En avance ! (I’m writing this post from my phone.)

Last night was Bolivia night in our village. We stayed out with the kids until 830pm watching live music and traditional dancing. During the intermission Poppy wanted to go on stage. What a character!
