With over two months since the last post on our blog, you perhaps are wondering if we’ve been kidnapped. Yikes! The thought.
Nope, we’re still here and kicking it in the wild sandy wonder of Africa. The last two months have been a bit crazy and even hectic but reassuringly festive and exciting all the same. We have taught Bible translation principles courses and attended New Testament dedications, Thanksgiving feasts, and Christmas parties, but for some reason that last two months the desire to blog parted from us. It’s sometimes difficult to know what to share–though we often hear from you that you’re consistently intrigued by posts that touch on life in Africa. We’ll have to write more of those for you. There is the “security situation” that prevents us from posting a minute-by-minute live feed of our every move. We do, however, have our pictures page where you’ll find almost daily photos from the field. So, all that to say, we hope that you had a very merry Christmas and we hope that you have an equally blessed New Year. I, for one, strive year after year to keep myself awake to bring it in, but always fail. Maybe, just maybe, this year will be the year I watch the ball drop…since it’ll be 6am our time!
We like this wide-eyed gentleman are preparing to dismount the 2013 horse as we wait expectantly for 2014. We’ll make up for our blogging hiatus. It’ll be our New Years resolution. =)
