I genuinely feel threatened as a Christian, like some sort of endangered species that’s on the brink of extinction. Although Christianity has survived for 2,000 years prior to my existence, I somehow feel that it’s continuance is fragile and uncertain.
Threatened. Threatened by the world, postmodernism, organic food, culture, PhD’s, false religions, apathy and relativism.
Who wants to attack me? Where are my accusers? Am I threatened by a ghost under my bed? Would Jesus permit his followers to assume such a downcast, defeated, backed-into-a-corner countenance?
Threatened because my God is seemingly mocked, my theology scoffed at by Christians and Non-christians alike, and my neighbors woo more convincingly to their side than I do to mine.
My job to woo? Nah. Someone could then just woo them right out of my woo.
Transformation is needed. Transformation is the realization of the woo.
