Kiwanis Park

by

Yesterday we stopped in at Kiwanis Park right here in Wake Forest after picking up a package from the Post Office. Lovely day to be outside, except for the swirling yellow pollen in the air.
The park just got new futuristic-looking swings. They're designed especially for handicapped children so they can swing, too. Poppy's handicap was that she was almost too small. Even so, she came out swinging.
Poppy enjoyed watching all the other children running around and over her head.
Poppy’s very quick to make friends. She doesn’t have to try all that hard either. Friends find her.
And what’s a trip to the park without trying to climb up a slippery slide?

What fun. I love an afternoon in the park. I think we used to visit most of the parks and playgrounds within 30mins drive of Theydon, there was Harlow Park, Ray’s Park, Chigwell playground and some in Walthamstow like Lloyd Park. Bye for now.

And it was always on a Sunday and we’d come home and watch the Borrowers or whatever tv series was on. Emily xx
