Poppy in a Laundry Basket

by

Snow finally hit Wake Forest so we were eager to get out and make the most of it.  Maybe we should have waited until the blizzard and stopped before we ventured out but we like to live dangerously.  We don’t have a sled, not because we are poor students or poor ex-students now, but because the snow rarely hits and sticks around to make it worth it.  Therefore I had to use my critical thinking (for all you nurses out there) and create a sled for Poppy to ride in.  Perfect!  The laundry basket!  We stuffed some blankets in the bottom and Drew grabbed a piece of rope out of the car and hey-presto we had a sleek snow mobile for our little flower.  We decided  to walk downtown and stop in at the tearoom for a half way stop and then turn around and come back.  Poppy actually really enjoyed the ride, shes such a curious child, loves looking around and seeing whats going on, she was fascinated by the snow and perfectly content in her snowmobile.  Heres a few photos and there may be more in the photo gallery.

I just love these photos. They’re so good. I especially like one of her the snow mobile
with the road behind. I think I can imagine where that photo was taken. I love being able to recognize not just Poppy & you 2 but the area as well. Is the snow still around? Did the lasundry basket survive. It’s funny to think of you in snow when I am dripping with sweat after my bike ride here!
