Poppy Turns Fifteen Months

Yesterday Poppy turned 15 months.  I had to work, so I pleaded with Drew to take Poppy out and take some photos.  You can go to the photo gallery and see them all but theres a sneak peak below.

All parents of grown children say their baby grew way too fast and you should try and enjoy every minute because before you know it they will have graduated from college, gotten married and moved across the world.  So you can laugh at how many photos I/we take of Poppy but it really just shows how much we wanna capture every expression, every milestone, basically every move she makes so that we can hold on to them forever.  Poppy is the love of our lives and we just think she is so precious and beautiful.

She has always been alot of fun but I LOVE how fun she is at this stage.  She can say Hi, Hey, Mummy, Daddy and Poppy really well.  When she wants something she says over and over again “me me me me me me”.  So we’re trying to get her in the habit of saying please instead.  And you can imagine how cute it is when she says “pweeze” when prompted.  And I have been teaching her the Head Shoulders Knees and Toes song and its so sweet because the only part she does is HEAD! Haha.  She puts her hands on her head and shouts head and then thats it until you sing head again and she does the same thing.  Makes me laugh every time.  She doesn’t have any other words that she says spontaneously at this point but when prompted she can say a few things like car, truck and dog.

She has 12 teeth now, (that you can see very well in one of the photos).
She LOVES pushing her mini stroller around and carrying her dollies and teddy bears like babies.
She has just gotten in to carrying bags around as well.
Every time you walk past some gravel or a stoney area or even mulch she wants to pick up pieces and carry them around.
She wants to do EVERYTHING herself now, she doesn’t let you feed her, if you try then she clamps her mouth shut and shakes her head.
She insists on walking everywhere too, she rarely sits in the shopping cart or stroller, she has to be walking around.
She wears size 4 shoes.
Her hair is insanely long!!!

She still loves to smile and laugh alot, especially with her silly Daddy.  And I can not tell you how adorable it is when Poppy sees Drew walking down the stairs and says “Hey Daddy!”.  Oh my goodness!!!!!

She is a proper little girl now.

I'm a big girl now!
I think this may be the first time Drew put her hair up I've been teaching him how to do a ponytail for a long time now!
She is a climber too
I did say EVERY expression
Always so curious about everything
