You Are My Sunshine

Today was the first Saturday that Drew and I have spent together since we both quit the Tearoom.  Drew has worked almost every Saturday for the past 3 years so it was a big day for him and for all of us.  We were also blessed with a super sunny and springlike day so we HAD to get out of the house.  After Poppy’s morning nap (which actually turned into the afternoon cuz she slept for so long) we jumped into the car and headed to a scrubs store so I could check out their selection of shoes and scrubs.  After we left there we headed to Homewood Nursery, we had popped in to this garden centre a while back looking for a friends present so we were keen to go back and have a good look around.   They had some amazing Orchids and really cool water features.  Leaving there we grabbed a bite to eat and then headed to Durant Park for a walk by the lake.  It was so sunny and nice, a little windy but nice and warm in the sun.  It was quite busy, lots of people making the most of the opportunity to get out with their dogs and kids.  At the end of our walk we came across the playground and had fun taking photos of Poppy on the different things, we almost got her swinging from the monkey bars!  Warning: there a lot of photos.

Setting out at the beginning of our day.
Homewood Nursery
That right boot is about to come off.
Hanging baskets galore.
The start of our walk at Durant Park.
Tha lake
Enjoying the ride.

Wearing Mummy's hat.
Now you see her…
…now you don't.
Photo shoot now…I apologise, haha.

She has such a fun little personality, look at that cheeky face!!!
Our model pose.

Sitting by the lake.

Shes definitely a Mummy's girl all the way.
Now for photos with Daddy.

We tried to get photos of just Poppy but as soon as we sat her down she burst into tears.
Daddy to the rescue.
Safe and sound back in the stroller.
Drew having his own fun.
Heading to the playground.
A bouncey seal.

Next, a bouncey lion.
This is one of my favourites!
Drew was making the lion bounce and Poppy was loving it.
She was really good at holding on.

Time for a swing.

She was watching a boy on the big swings going really high.

Daddy having more of his own fun.
Drew was tickling her feet.

The biggest smile!!!!
I wanted to have a turn.

On the climbing frame.
Peeking through the bars.
Getting ready to go down the slide.
Drew is definitely having more fun than Poppy right here.

THE END.
