Haute Couture

I have been meaning to do this little shout out/thank you for a couple of weeks now.

When we had our friends from our home church in Durham, NC, come to stay, they bought with them many gifts.  Many were things we needed for Africa but some were simply to bless us and put a smile on our faces.  Drew got some beef jerky, for example.

Amongst the lovely treats were two hair clips.  In two words: simply beautiful.  One for me and one for Poppy.  They were made by a young designer, very talented and very creative.  She has recently set up her own online shop.  She also has a blog which I have now entered in to my Google reader and will be following frequently.  Her name is Mimi.  I want to thank you for the thought and sentiment she put in to making and sending these clips for us.

You can visit Mimi’s blog here: vdbm.blogspot.com

Mimi specialises in sewing, embroidery and jewellery.  Did I already say so talented?  Check out her online shop for some special homemade Christmas gifts this year.

Here is Poppy wearing her clip. So delicate and pretty.  Perfectly suited.

Ah, I wondered about the flower hair clip. Sweet.
