In Summer, the Song Sings Itself

Having arrived in country just in time to bring in the New Year we have the privilege of getting to know our corner of Gaul one season at a time. Winter was beautiful and white. Spring was fresh and green. Summer is hot and energetic. By July, seven twelfths of the year has blossomed–like the flowers below–but more remains to be revealed.

This week we’re trying out a private language tutor. With Granny and Grandad here to watch the kids Emily and I have the opportunity to go at the same time, cutting the price in half effectively. We’re still taking a full schedule at the language school but exploring options for finishing the year strong…and fluent!

It seems that our town does exceptionally well at organizing town-wide social events. Between children’s activities, free concerts, open-air movies, parades and markets, we look forward to spending lots of time outside.
