Actually I decided I wasn’t 100% sure on the actual length of her hair because I may have been holding the tape measure a little off. So here is the photo and you can decide for yourselves. I wanted to say 20 inches from the top of her head to the end of the longest part. The ends aren’t level because we never trimmed it so that’s a little tricky too.
Tomorrow at 3pm is the big cut! Yesterday I showed Poppy the photo of the haircut I think would be nice, that we will take with us to show the hairdresser. I said to Poppy “We’ll go in and say, comme ça s’il vous plaît“, and she thrust the piece of paper out in front of her and said “comme ça s’il vous plaît“. lol. Phew, a good response. At this point she is very positive about the idea, but I am a little nervous that they’ll do one snip of her princess locks and she’ll freak out. This calls for une petite histoire (story) concerning Poppy, being a princess and long hair.
There is a park nearby and there’s a climbing frame, a very simple climbing frame with a slide and a fireman’s pool. However, the roof of this climbing frame is shaped in to what looks like a castle turret. So I started playing this little game with her. She is the princess and I am the prince. She climbs the stairs and stands at the top, then she flips her hair over the bar that’s at the top of the stairs and pretends to need saving. SO when I come riding in on my horse I too climb the stairs and take a hold of her hair and pretend to “climb” up it to rescue her. LOL. Oh boy can she play this game forever!!! This is why I’m a little nervous about tomorrow. I may have to find her a Disney princess wig 😉
Happy Thursday everyone.
